Obituary of Roy Truesdale McDonald, Jr.

Roy Truesdale "Dale" McDonald, Jr., 80, of Columbia, SC went to be with the Lord on August 21, 2022.

Roy was born on February 17, 1942 in Columbia, SC to the late Roy Truesdale McDonald, Sr. and Mildred Lucille Brown McDonald. Roy taught dance at Fred Astair Dance Studio and later sold insurance until he retired. Roy was a multi-talented artist and a very spiritual and peaceful person.

Roy was preceded in his death by both parents, a sister and brother, and sons Delton Scott McDonald and Ernest Roy "Ernie" McDonald. Roy is survived by his significant other, Cathryn "Cat" Irby, his children, Lee Stiles, Mathew McDonald, Shelley Baker, Meredith "Hope" McDonald, Paul McDonald, along with grandchildren Brandy, Kyle, Mathew, Destiny, Katelyn, Briana, Kelsey, Daleton, Miranda, Landon, and Cooper as well as six great-grandchildren.
