Obituary of Davina A. Joseph

Davina A. Joseph, of Roseau, Dominica, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the age of 70. She was born in Roseau, Dominica on September 15, 1951 to Clarence Joseph and Marie Scotland. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was also a former member of Waitikubuli Dance Theater from 1975-1979.

Davina attended school at Roseau Girls School and was a single parent of one daughter. She enjoyed her time as a homemaker and independent entrepreneur for years. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, tending to her flowers, implementing home decor, being the life of the party, and spending time with her friends and family.

Davina is survived by her daughter, Katana George (Daniel); two grandchildren, one brother, two sisters, four nephews, seven nieces, one aunty and numerous cousins; close friends, Della Riviera and Janet Doe, the entire Francis family from Scotts Head: Annett, Armin, Annie, Agee, Erroll to include Winston Étienne;  and an expansive host of extended family and friends across the island, US, England, and Canada to include to entire Fond St. Jean, Bath Estate and Roseau community.

A memorial service for Davina Joseph will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Hampton Inn, Main Conference Room, 201 East Exchange Boulevard, Columbia, SC followed by a final farewell and interment in Roseau, Dominica. The family request any donations or support can be sent directly to her daughter.
