I was deeply saddened to learn of Victoria's illness and passing. I know how happy she was to return to Ohio, but know that she loved being with her family and grew to love living in South Carolina. Victoria was unique. We shared common interests, but I particularly loved and admired her for the vision and experience she shared with those of us who worked with her for many years at GCPL. She was a true mentor and advocate in sharing the love of the written word, access to knowledge and in being kind to all.

Victoria was my branch manager at the Five Forks Public Library. Recovering from spine surgery due to an auto accident, I was unable to work for a few months. Victoria followed my condition closely, sending warm notes and regularly assuring me that my job was secure. I have always been so grateful for her unfailing kindness, understanding and sensitivity during a difficult time. She was a thoughtful and supportive manager and it was a pleasure to work alongside her for a few years. I am greatly saddened to learn of her illness and passing. Her family was truly blessed to have such a caring mother, grandmother and sister. May she rest in peace.
