Obituary of Danny Troy Jeffcoat

Lexington, South Carolina

Danny Troy Jeffcoat, 52, passed away on April 14, 2023, in Piedmont, South Carolina. He was born in Columbia, South Carolina on November 11, 1970 to Billie Still and Danny Jeffcoat.

In addition to his wife, Amanda Jeffcoat and their son, Luke Jeffcoat, Troy is survived by both parents, Billie Still (mother) and Danny Jeffcoat (father,) his three sisters: Melissa Currie, Angela Craig, and Chrystal Jeffcoat, his brother, John Daniel Jeffcoat, and his step-sister, Nicole Ollis, three nephews and two nieces.

He grew up in Columbia, South Carolina, graduating from Airport High School in 1988 and from the University of Illinois while enlisted in the Navy. He was an avid basketball player and fan. He enjoyed fishing and swimming in his grandfather’s pond. You would find him either on the court, in the water, or in the trunk of someone’s car tweaking the speakers. But he always loved adventure and laughter.

He will always be remembered for his inquisitive smart mind, his gift of gab, and diving off that dock. He always had time, and a story to share.

A funeral and memorial service for Troy will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29223. Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance and celebration of his life at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
