Obituary of Elizabeth Berotti Gaskin

Elizabeth “Beth” Berotti Gaskin died on April 1, 2023.

Born July 2, 1945, in New York City, New York, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Berotti and Viola Berotti Kilpatrick of Arizona. Beth was predeceased by her husband, Edward Robert Gaskin of Newport News, Virginia.

Beth, also known as “Lil Bit” by close family members, enjoyed bowling and worked for the Daily Press in Newport News, Virginia for several years. Beth was well-loved by her entire family as well as everyone she met.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Kohlmyer (Wayne), grand-children Rebecca, Elliot and Charlotte Kohlmyer of Columbia South Carolina; son, James Sladek (Debra Brown) of Hampton, Virginia, grand-children Brandon Sladek of Newport News, Virginia, Dean and Robert Brown and Kim Teague of Virginia; brother, Albert Berotti (Jane) of California; sister, Viola Dollar (Steve) of Florida; Martha Beck (Dennis) of Michigan and, her current husband, Gerald Chasse of Newport News, Virginia.
