Obituary of George Authur Whitaker

George Authur Whitaker (PeeWee), 71, of Lexington, SC., passed away peacefully on Thursday January 19, 2023. PeeWee was born and raised in Lexington SC.

PeeWee enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting the grass, riding down bumpy dirt roads and to local fruit stands.

He was preceded in death by his parents; George L. Whitaker and Eunice Juanita Whitaker; sister, Carol K. Rish; and his beloved 3-legged partner-in-crime, Frisky. He is survived by his wife, Susan L. Whitaker; sister, Debra A. O'Quinn (Ric); grandchildren, Ashely Boulware, Eden Ravenell (Antonio), and Quinton Crooke (Alexis); great-grandchildren, Abbigal, Kaydence, A'aliyah, Skylar, Kasen, and Callum; six nieces and nephews and eight great-nieces and nephews.

PeeWee was known affectionately by his family as Pappy, and he will be deeply missed. A private memorial will be held for PeeWee at a future date.
