Obituary of Richard Lamar Howard

On Wednesday August 29^th 2018, Richard “Pete” Lamar Howard of Joanna SC passed away at the age of 57 in Columbia,  SC. Pete was born on January 10^th, 1961 in Greenville SC to Edna Cagle. Pete enjoyed hunting, fishing, and chewing tobacco. He was an all-around good man who valued family.

Pete is survived by his wife Valarie, his son Jeremy (Chacie) Howard, his grandsons Conner and Craig Howard, a child reared in the home Matt Waldrop, his mother Edna Cagle, two sisters Lisa Rowe and Kelly Pountain, an adopted brother, Kayden Cagle, his niece and nephews, Lamar, Jerrilyn Jakob, and Alex and his father-in-law E.B. Conner.

He was predeceased in death by his baby brother James Edward, his sister-in-law Donna, his father Jerry Cagle, and his daughter Heather Leann.

The family will receive family and friends at Eastside Baptist Church in Laurens on September 4^th, 2018 at 4 pm with a small service to follow officiated by Pastor JD Putman. Pete will be laid to rest at Pinelawn Cemetery in Clinton SC on a later date.
