Obituary of Erin Darlene Martin

Erin Darlene Martin, born Erin Darlene Rickels March 15,1947, died on February 10, 2022.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Erin Elise (Brinson) and Marvin L. Rickels; her husband, Major Donald L. Martin, US Army; and her granddaughter, Laci L. Bruckerhoff. She is survived by her brother, Lawrence L. Rickels; her cousin, Marilyn Dollar, who was as close as a sister; her daughter and son-in-law, Erin Darlene and Marty Threatt; her stepson and wife, Donald and Leslie Martin; grandson and wife, Chistopher and Laura Bruckerhoff; and grandson and wife, Ryan and Ashley Bruckerhoff, and her furry daughter, Miranda.

Darlene left us far too soon and is sorely missed, by not only her family which is greater than those listed, but also her extensive group of friends near and far that she loved like family. She had a way of making her mark in each of our lives that was special to us like no other. She was classy and sassy. We will all remember something she said or did that will forever stay with us and make us smile every time we think of her.

Darlene was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend, and an avid animal lover. She was generous and always willing to help those she could. She was quick to laugh and eager to share her humor with all of us. Our sadness in her passing may linger, but her soul will always shine bright in all of us that loved her.
