Obituary of Teresa Lynn Boling Culley

West Columbia, SC - Terri was born on September 19, 1960, in Charlotte, North Carolina. She grew up in Columbia, graduated from Irmo High School, and lived the majority of her life in West Columbia with her husband, Mike. Terri was a proud and devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend to many. She also spent over three decades building a career in the banking industry.

Terri loved taking care of others and would always carry the weight of worry on her shoulders for those she cared most deeply about. Terri was tender-hearted and loved children and animals. She was also notorious for baking her exceptional chocolate chip cookies for holidays, birthdays, special occasions, or “just because” to show her adoration for others. She loved the beach and enjoyed warm summer days in the backyard by the pool with her family. Terri was forever a dedicated Gamecock fan and could be caught wearing garnet and black most days of the week. More recently, she became a loyal Carolina baseball fan in addition to football and would track scores and player stats throughout the seasons.

Terri had a contagious laugh and loved to smile. Her sense of humor was unlike anyone else’s – witty but sweet and oftentimes surprising. Over the past three years, Terri has rejoiced in being “Nanny” to her grandson, Vann. Looking at pictures and enjoying memories was one of her favorite things to do and is how she spent the last moments of her precious life on earth.

She passed peacefully in her homeon February 11, 2022, surrounded by her closest family members, covered in love and prayers. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Mike along with her son, Jason, and daughter Lindsey Culley Yarborough (David Yenny Yarborough). She is also survived by her father, Bob Boling of Lexington, sister Libby Corbett and niece Katie Corbett of Columbia, and sister Vicki Burn (Rick) of Charlotte. Terri was predeceased by her mother, Judy Miller Boling, and recently by her step-mother Jane Angell Boling. Terri adored her family and friends and her love for all of them was unmatched.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation and gratitude to Compassionate Care Hospice – Amedisys for the most attentive care and support during Terri’s last days.

The family will privately celebrate Terri’s life at a later date. In lieu of flowers or food, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Pets Inc. of West Columbia.
