Obituary of Janet E. Gerhart

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janet E. Gerhart of West Columbia on February 5, 2022.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents: Herbert R. and Gladys E. (McCuean) Lawson, her former husband John D. Gerhart and her in-laws Herman and Margaret Gerhart.

She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her beloved son, John A. Gerhart, her sister Eileen J. Todd (Pittsburgh, PA) and brother and sister in-law Delmar and Gail Eldridge (Phoenix, AZ) as well as her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews whom she spoiled.

Jan was retired from the South Carolina Electric Co-Operative as well as Platt Springs United Methodist Church where she was also a member.

A memorial service will be held on February 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Platt Springs United Methodist Church, 3215 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, SC 29169.
